# Preparation before Relocation / Removal

#Protection (extraction) of user data

Protect various user data (IP / FAX settings, address book, etc.) according to user's request.

#Initialize internal information

In order to avoid unforeseen situations due to the leakage of customer-specific information, stored information (network settings, phone numbers and destination names of fax machines, etc.) and automatically saved information (print and copy data, Fonts and macro work areas).
Select the following menu on the operation panel to delete information.

• [Settings] > [Main Unit Settings] > [Administrator Settings] > [Restore Default Settings] > [Reset All]

• [Settings] > [Main Unit Settings] > [Administrator Settings] > [Delete Internal Memory Data] > [PDL Fonts, Macros, and Work Area]

• [Settings] > [System Settings] > [Administrator Settings] > [HDD Erase Settings] > [Erase All Memory] > [High Speed], [Overwrite], or [Overwrite 3 times]

Note / 補足

The data in HDD can be completely erased with [High speed]. With [Overwrite], invalid data can be sufficiently overwritten in the memory. [Overwrite] and [Overwrite 3 times] overwrite the invalid data in the memory, so it takes time to process. To overwrite more invalid data, select [Overwrite 3 times].

#Removing optional units and connecting parts

When removing, remove optional products and connecting parts to prevent damage to the equipment.

Please refer to Pre-delivery Work Lists for options that should be removed.

#Simple curing

When removing the machine, simply cure it to prevent damages. (Protecting the products to avoid damages while transporting)
