Firmware Update

  • To update the firmware before an initial ink charge, update the firmware via a USB memory device from the service support mode.
    It is recommended to update the firmware before initial ink filling before initial settings.
  • If you are unable to update in service support mode due to an error etc. after the initial settings, turn the power OFF/ON and then update.
  • Check the following before performing a firmware update.
    • The options are connected to the main unit (communication cable is connected).
    • If optional “Extension Network Board” and/or “Extension G3 Fax Board” are connected, make sure they are activated.
