Head and cap transport parts cannot come off

When transporting the main unit, it is necessary to attach the transportation parts for the head and the cap. If you forget to remove this part after transportation and turn on the power, the head unit and cap unit will interfere with this part, causing a fatal error. In this case, the fatal error can be resolved by removing the transport parts, but depending on the mechanical state, it may not be possible to remove the transport part. In this case, it is necessary to change the positions of the head unit and the cap unit by following the procedure below.


Note / 補足
  • The fatal error that occurs is as follows.
    • If you forget to remove the head transportation part: Related to HED PID error (000840/000841/000842/000843/000844)
    • If you forget to remove the cap transportation part: Related to CAP PID error (000500/000501/000502/000503/000504)


When checking the device status

  1. Turn off the power and check if the transportation part for the head and cap can be removed or not.

    Note / 補足
    • Head Transportation Part
      Open the front cover, hold the handle of the transportation part, and pull it forward while rocking it left and right.

    • Cap Transportation Part
      Open the right door unit and belt unit, and push the handle of the transportation part to the back.

  2. Change the position of the head unit or cap unit according to the transport part that could not be removed.

Cap transport parts cannot come off
  1. Start service support mode and execute Head and cap transport parts cannot come off . If the transportation parts cannot be removed after execution, proceed to the next step.
  2. Remove the 2 screws and remove the Front Left Cover (A). (S7:)

    • S7: C.B.STITE(P4), SCREW, 3X10, F/ZN3C
  3. Slide the front decorative cover upper (A) in the direction of the arrow to remove it.
  4. Remove one screw, and remove the front cover upper (A) in the direction of the arrow while pressing the hook. (S7:)

    • S7: C.B.STITE(P4), SCREW, 3X10, F/ZN3C
  5. Remove Housing front lower (A) from the main unit.
  6. Open the front cover (A).
  7. Push the hook on the Front cover (A) and remove the Front cover (A).
  8. Remove 6 screws and remove the Front right cover (A).
  9. Remove 4 screws and remove the Front left cover (A).
  10. Change the position of the cap unit by turning the dial (A) of the cap drive motor.

    1. Turn the dial clockwise (UP direction) 1/4 turn. If you can't rotate it, rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
    2. Try to remove the transport part for the cap. If it cannot be removed, rotate it another 1/4 turn.
    3. After that, repeat until it comes off.
  11. Turn the dial clockwise (UP direction) 1/4 turn. If you can't rotate it, rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
  12. Try to remove the transport part for the cap. If it cannot be removed, rotate it another 1/4 turn.
  13. After that, repeat until it comes off.


Head transport parts cannot come off
  1. Start service support mode and execute 7010303 Manually Release (Head unit DOWN). If the transportation parts cannot be removed after execution, proceed to the next step.
  2. Start service support mode and execute 7010302 Manually Release (Head unit UP). If the transportation parts cannot be removed after execution, proceed to the next step.
  3. Remove the 4 screws and remove the right cover sub (A). (S7:)

      • : 3x10DW
  4. Remove 1 screw and slide the rear cover (A) in the direction of the arrow to remove it. (S7:)

    • : 3x10DW
    Assembly / 組み立て

    Align the 5 hooks on the rear cover with the 5 holes on the main unit and attach it.
  5. Turn the drive gear (B) of the wiper assy (A) forward to move the wiper assembly from inside the body to outside the frame.

    Check Point / チェックポイント
    • Move the wiper Assy (A) until it contacts the lever (C) of the cleaner Assy.
    • Depending on the condition of the product, it may not be necessary to move the wiper Assy.
  6. Change the position of the head unit by turning the dial (A) of the head drive motor.

    1. Turn the dial clockwise (DOWN direction) 1/4 turn. If you can't rotate it, rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
    2. Try to remove the transport part for the head. If it cannot be removed, rotate it another 1/4 turn.
    3. After that, repeat until it comes off.
  7. Turn the dial clockwise (DOWN direction) 1/4 turn. If you can't rotate it, rotate it 1/4 turn counterclockwise.
  8. Try to remove the transport part for the head. If it cannot be removed, rotate it another 1/4 turn.
  9. After that, repeat until it comes off.
